Daddy Guest Post from Dada Rocks
In honor of Father’s Day we are featuring guest posts from some of our favorite Daddy bloggers. I’m excited to share with you today’s guest Daddy post from Adam Cohen, founder of Dada Rocks. After reading this post you might want even more from Adam so in addition to reading his blog you can also follow him on Twitter @dadarocks. I'm already a proud follower.
Adam and his sonWhen I was asked to write this post I was given a bunch of suggestions... What does it mean to be a father? Write a letter to your child. Any advice for new fathers? How do you want your child/ren to view you? Tips on how to keep mommies feeling good after having a baby. Tips on how you keep your relationship with your partner strong. A tribute to your father. What things do Mom's stress about that Dad's don't.
So I figured I could answer a bunch of these in one mega fantastic post - ready: Dads are the male counterpart to parenting, while moms do more then any dad can imagine. Dads to many are the heroes and idols before Superman and Michael Jordan. They're the ones who stay up late to get a chapter ahead in the text books so they can know what the heck they're talking about to their child the next day. They don't take advice - no matter what - and they'll even fight with a GPS if they think its wrong. They'll make some efforts to make mommy feel good after having a baby but nothing is better then that first family snuggle. Finally Dads don't stress about the somethings or the same way moms do - we don't always stress the small stuff - but when you have a child there is one thing mom and dad will stress the same - its that you want the best for your child no matter what.
As my kid would say with an ear to ear smile - TA - DA - yup... now go a head an ask for me the answer to life because I've got the answer and that's the moment you look into your child's eyes... its amazing you see your whole life and theirs flash in those moments. The answer to life must be to live to grow to protect and to nurture our children. All we want in return is one day when we're all and grey be honored with a picture of all our children and grandchildren and maybe even great-grandchildren. Cause all we leave behind in this world is our legacy and that legacy is our children
