Sunshiney Day

I recently got tired of slathering so much sunscreen repeatedly on Elle. It’s been really hot here and she spends a good bit of time outdoors. So, I did some research and discovered a great company by the name of Sunday Afternoons that I thought most of you moms would like to know about. They sell sun protective clothing like breathable shirts and really great hats – for the whole family.

I bought a couple of the long sleeve shirts for Elle along with a hat and a shirt for myself. The prices were fantastic ($20 for Elle’s shirts and hat and $30 for my own – and free shipping!) They arrived a few days later and so far I’m in love.

The hat has great front and back coverage and a great clip chin strap. I’m thinking of ordering one for myself! The sizes are pretty good. I got Elle a 2T and it looks like she’ll have some good wear out of it given it has a little room.

Though summer is just one season; sun protection is important year around so you’re sure to get tons of use out of these. I’ll still be applying sunscreen but at least we won’t have to put so much on and in so many places. Right now, my go to sunscreen is BurnOut Kids Physical Sunscreen. It’s got a great rating from EWG, goes on smoothly without an oily residue and the whiteness blends in pretty well. Smells good too! I buy mine on Amazon
