Here We Go Again
I can’t believe I’m going to be in my second trimester (14 weeks) this coming week. I’ve been bursting at the seams to tell friends and family about this baby since we found out we were expecting seven weeks ago. We did end up telling our parents at around 5 or 6 weeks but held out for others until later. We just had our 13 weeks ultrasound – it was amazing to see that the baby actually looked like a baby. How does that happen so fast?

We feel so blessed to have another baby on the way. We actually had a chemical miscarriage in March which was disheartening but we were ready to try again quickly. There have been so many emotions with this pregnancy, many the same and many different than my last pregnancy which I hope to get to get around to sharing on the blog. I’m sure that’s how it is for all pregos and second-time mommies and I’d love to hear from any of you on how you felt when you found out your second baby was on its way.
I’m excited to see how little Elle adapts to being a big sister. She’s been really good with her little cousin who is around 6 months old right now. She likes to give her animals and feed her a bottle. I’m sure it’s different when it’s someone moving into her house and taking her parents attention but I think she’ll get used to it.

Tom and I are more than excited to be repeating this crazy adventure. We’re just as much in awe this time around as the first…maybe even more so because we have actually experienced how amazing the whole process is and all the joys along the way. January will be here before we know it!

I'm 14 weeks with my second, due in January, also!
I cried my eyes out at my appointment this morning, when we heard the baby's heartbeat, as they didn't do that with my first (I had a high risk, so we had ultrasounds at each appointment, rather then just the doppler (?))
This pregnancy has been much different then my first in a few ways - I'm so EMOTIONAL this time. I wasn't at all, with my first - but this time feels like a hormone roller coaster!
Can't wait to read your journey seeing as we're on a similar time track!
Erin,
Congrats to you and your hubby! I can totally relate with you on the emotional roller coaster. I'm so happy to hear things are going much easier this time with the pregnancy and am excited to go through this experience together!
Jennifer, Tom & Elle! Congratulations! Keith and I are so happy to hear the news about the new addition to your family! We can't wait to meet your new little one.
