While I wish I had a solution regarding how to slim down the junk mail, I often times wonder if the U.S. Post Office wouldn't be facing bankruptcy if it lost so much time sorting unwanted mail. I hear it's a revenue generator, but I'd like to think the carriers could get through their day much faster if they had 80% less mail to deliver. On the other hand, businesses wouldn't keep investing in the activity if it wasn't profitable. There's got to be a better way!
